The Trump/Musk job killing spree has left tens of thousands out of work so far, and the bulk of the job losses may still be ahead of the country. With as many as 300,000 federal employees’ roles at risk, economists speculate that the White House’s war on government workers could become “largest job cut in American history by a mile” — hurting families and economies across the country as laid-off workers cut back their spending. We will see the first real signs of the impact when unemployment figures are released on March 7th.
